A/C 42-97728 - MACR 10081

Hello, greetings from Austria I am searching for any information about the B-17 42-97728, MACR 10081, which crashed into the mountain "Schöneck" 2540 m, wreck is at 2200 m. I am also seeking photos of the plane. Only Hillhouse, Harry and Patterson, Roy survived the crash. In 1999, I found the crash site. There are many heavy wreck parts of the B-17; engines, supercharger, main gear and other parts are at the site. The Citizen Major of Kleinsölk built a memorial in 2003,for the 8 killed airmen. For the inauguration of the memorial, we are searching for the 2 survivors or their family members. Kindly regards Richard Pieber Richard Pieber: Predlitz 30 8863 Predlitz, Austria, Austria / Europe 03534/8267 rpieber@a1.net
