William Mallory

I am trying to find information regarding my father, William Mallory, who was enroute home from Italy on February 19, 1945 when the transport plane he was in crashed on take off. I believe it took off from Foggia Italy but I am not sure. I plan a trip to Italy in early September and would like to visit the crash site. If anyone has information on this crash please contact me. William N. Mallory Major, US Army Air Froce Twelfth Air Force Died 19-Feb-1945 Buried at Florence American Cemetery, Florence Italy Thank you.
