Sylvester Perkowski

I am researching my Uncle Sylvester Perkowski. He was in "the ball" for fifty missions out of Italy. I have a photo of his full crew(#149) Most of them died in a take-off accident in Italy. The plane was named "Lady E". His 2nd plane was "Maiden USA" He was in the 15th, but I don't know how to find out what Group or Squadron. Thank you for any info you may be able to tell me!!!!!!
